First time flying experience

I putted my right foot on the first step of the airplane's stair. I was 30 years old and that was my first flight ever. Not counting my dream's flights... :)
I was willing to fly but didn't have the ocasion. Then, when the ocasion occured, I was a little bit scared ...but it is a first time for everything.
I took my heart in my hands an I putted it on Tarom's wings. (Tarom- airflight company)
The take off was smooth and when I started to see things remained far behind me, I had an uplifting feeling. It was a cleary summer day, soon that we took off, the stewards started to serv us breakfast. I couldn't tell what I eat,    I can't even remember if I eat. The window kept my whole interest all way long, which was about 1:20 hours.
We landed where we were supposed to land: somewhere near Bodrum,  Turkey.  Nice place for a holiday, in a 5* hotel where we enjoyed the Turkis hospitality.
With a large room, nice horse pictures on the wall and a sofa near the balcony, our room was clean and welcoming. Every morning when I woke up, I was going on the balcony to see if it's raining. 3 days after, I found out that it wasn't supose to rain that summer :D.
We could have stayed at the hotel all day long, because it was an all inclusive resort with lots of activities, but we choose to go and visit the town. There was a bus taking us from the hotel to the center of Bodrum which costed 1 usd for tourists.

There are specific points of interest in Bodrum. But first that we got out the buss, we couldn;t help notice the bazar :) where every seller was inviteing us in, kissing our hands and asking us about Hagi :D (famous football player). The center of Bodrum has a Greek-style whitewashed houses dotting the hillside overlooking twin bays. And right in the middle it's impossible to miss the medieval  Castle of St Peter. It is full of history and a good place to take pictures all around.
We decided to go out one night on a catamaran with a glass floor, dancing all night over the waves of Aegean sea, with a very interesting program of enertainment :).
We also enjoyed an one day trip to Dalyan river delta. It was a hot day for traveling by bus, but once that we reached the destination we took a boat and things started to get better.  The river boat cruise through tall reeds and maze-like passages of the Dalyan Delta reminded us of Humphrey Bogarts's "The African Queen". We Stopped  over at the magnificent Rock Tombs of Caunos carved high in the cliff realising why this place was considered one of the most unique corners of the Earth.

We reached the Turtle beach, a five-mile long stretch of golden sand surrounded by salt water on one side and fresh water on the other. In May, the turtles come and lay their eggs and at the end of summer, the chicks come out entering the water. For this reason, the beach was declared a nature reserve. There was a piece of heaven, with no resort, no hotel, just mother nature. This is the place where the two largest, Aegean and Mediterranean are kissing and merge into one. It's amazing to see how the fresh waters of the river meet the foamy waves of the salted sea.

On our way back to the bus we discovered the Source of Youth: The Mud Baths. It was fun, also rejuvenating and it was a great chance for hilarious snapshots!

But let's just don;t forget that this was my first holiday I went by plane, so my flight back home wasn't that smooth as it was when I came to Turkey.
It was an evening flight, and as soon as the steward anounced that we were preparing to land, a storm has begun, with thunders and lightning .... the whole plane was shaking and I was feeling like my heart was in my ankles. All I could think about was that I was missing my mother and everything I wanted to do with my life and just couldn't imagine how that nightmare was going to end. The captain kept the plain on the air half an hour over the program , trying to land, but the weather were imposible. One man in front of me was reading a newspaper, he just didn;t make any move, he seemed to be distrubed just by us, who didn't find our pacience.... Somehow, he calmed me down with his attitude, I realised that things like that can happen, but you need to have faith and fly a lot, in order to overcome your fear.

:)

Cand "esti chemat" te duci ... oriunde te poarta pasii.
